Changing...

So I'm sitting at the Taylor County High School Show Choir performance on Thursday night...really enjoying the show because all of the music is from the 70's & 80's, right? And then...about an hour and a half into it...the "Senior" song. There she is...Hailey...a senior...singing "One Moment in Time" with all of the other seniors and a slideshow going with pics of all of them. It takes me a minute or two to get composed. It's amazing but within that minute, there was a quick review of the past 18 years of her life.

Where does it go? I remember my grandparents and parents talking about how quickly time passes and especially the older you get. Man, did they ever know what they were talking about. It's easy to get emotional thinking about it but I finally decided that life is all about the journey and this is just a step along the way.

We have truly been blessed in this first chapter of Haileys life and I am sooooo looking forward to what's next for her. She has chosen to remain home and attend Campbellsville University (on a full academic scholarship...proud daddy!) and I guess for the forseeable future some things will remain status quo.

As much as I hate to see her grow up and step into the transition of adulthood, I am content with the blessings and memories of a wonderful, beautiful, God loving child. I pray that the next chapter is as well written as the first! I love you Hailey Ray!!!
